Initial Problems

	Our corporation is faced with a challenge of indoctrinating our new employees to The Hartford and to the insurance industry. We hire a wide variety of individuals with varied backgrounds, e.g., Information Technology professional, Claim professionals, etc. Additionally, newly hired employees come with varied experience in the insurance industry. Orientation for new employees should include information about our company and about the basics of insurance, (personal, commercial, etc.) and financial products (annuities, mutual funds, etc). Your task is to produce a course design document and plan for producing the above course.

	The design document should stand alone and allow the reader to have a clear picture of who will be trained, what they will be trained on and how they will be trained. You can/should add anything you deem important to allow the reader to fully understand the process you are proposing to assure this course meets the needs of all parties effected. In essence your design document and plan would be a proposal to management and the guiding document the course developers would use to produce the course.

	The ISD website is a resource to help you produce your design plan. We encourage you to use what is available and to reach out to other resources you may have to produce this design document.
